Fall Out Boy, March 2016
This shot of Joe Trohman of Fall Out Boy is the image that the Instagram account decided to
feature on their page. I loved a lot of my shots from this concert, mostly because it was my first
arena show to have access to shoot and because Fall Out Boy is another band I've been listening
to for a long time.
I had never shot a show with such amazing production, and very few shows I've shot since have
rivaled this level of lighting and stage production. The name of the tour was "Winter is Coming"
so they had this fake snow falling from the ceiling during the first three songs. They had a very
interesting stage shaped like a V that jutted out into the crowd, and in the middle of the V was a
VIP area that we were able to shoot some the show from. I have yet to really be able to shoot on
stage with a big band, so I love this shot because it makes it look like I was on the stage behind
him. It was very surreal to look out into the crowd beyond him and see an arena full of
people...all while listening to songs I used to download onto my iPod in middle school!
