Dennis. you are so happy doing your gigs Tell us HOW HAPPY ARE YOU??!! ………………………………. James, I am very happy indeed! Performing my music as a solo artist and with my band Density is a dream come true. I’d like to give a huge thanks to my talented band-mates Mitchell Zerring on Bass, Mick Oakleaf on Drums, and Vinny Mongeluzo on Guitar! They add so much energy to my songs. I feel blessed. It is such a rush to play on stage especially for friends in downtown NYC. ************************ Tell us two places in New York City that give you inspiration to write a song ………………………………............ I don’t have a very particular place that I go to for inspiration. It’s usually the unexpected things or places or just the everyday mundane things. NYC’s streets, especially very old, obscure, hidden ones draw me in and inspire my imagination. Songs like “Sorry Street,“ Side Street,” and “Something More” express my feelings metaphorically as I walk the streets in NYC. Being anonymous in a crowded NYC let’s me observe “being outside looking in” or “inside looking out” on corners, subways, the tight spaces between people and buildings, and the emptiness and loneliness in the city. My songs “There’s That Girl,” “Love Don’t Matter,” “A Long Way Gone,” “No Letting Go,” and “East 10th Street” reflect these feelings. “Jackson Pond” is a song about a real place I hung out as a teenager in Forest Park, Queens, NY. ****************************
