I've known Ronnie Wheeler since the spring of 2011 when I saw him perform
with Shauna Westgate at Kenny's Castaways (rip) for an NYC Guitar School
showcase. I was instantly enamoured with Ronnie's songs and guitar playing.
Long story short, I ended up joining his band Red Gretchen as their bass
player in July of the same year (along with Shauna on drums and Nancy
Pollak on guitar and backing vox). Ronnie has become a great friend and it's
been quite entertaining watching him play with just about everyone in NYC
that you can think of (when I'm not dying of jealousy. Hahaha....) Pictured
here - Red Gretchen, Mora Tau, Bad Avocado, Dick Jokes, Ronnie Wheeler
Blues. This year, he's also played with Granny, Anne Husick & Friends, Phil
Gammage & Friends, Frank Wood & his NYC All Stars, Jeanne's Machine,
Rick's Jets and I'm sure there are a few I'm forgetting. Anyway, give him a
listen. It' well worth it. https://redgretchen.bandcamp.com/
