JS : Can I ask you about the lyrics to a few songs in particular ? Firstly , “ Smokin ’ Crack With My Friend Jeff ” and “ Danny ’ s Got The Gout ,” are those people real , and if so how did they feel about you writing about them ? Also , how is Jeff ? Is he still smoking crack ?
MM : Yeah both of those songs were made up before I thought anybody would ever listen to our band so ....
JS : Then I want to ask about “ C . F . N . M .” and “ Hog For You Baby ,” anything you would ( or wouldn ’ t ) like to say about those songs ?
MM : I ' m about as vanilla as they come but I ' m really interested in fetish culture . The opportunities y ' all have for that in NYC blow my mind since we don ' t have clubs like that down here . Anyway , the internet is the fucking bomb so I ' ve learned about a lot of shit . CFNM is my fake-intellectual attempt at reconciling that fetish with current gender politics and also tying it to an archetype like Humpty Dumpty .
