Did you know that Americans are obsessed with illness? That‟s right, about a decade ago the people of this nation spent over $458 BILLION on health care! Illness is a normal part of life in our nation and that seems backwards somehow. Conventional medicine provides a quick fix through surgery and drugs but even with this advanced technology do not “Fix” our bodies, only mask the symptoms. We think that illness is a natural part of aging but the Hunza who live in the Himalayas disprove this concept. They live long, happy, healthy lives that last well into the hundreds of years without major illness or disease. This proves that the human body can function for decades longer than we believe if we provide proper diet, exercise, and mental attitude.

Our bodies we designed to repair and rejuvenate and it is our lifestyle that has compromised our health. If we find ourselves in pain, needing pills or in a crisis situation it is because our body is not healthy. Drugs can‟t heal. Medicine can‟t heal. Only the body can heal itself. The only thing the body needs to heal and rejuvenate itself is the proper tools. When the body malfunctions it is happening for a reason and we must change the circumstances that brought on the malfunction before the body can heal. Personally, I don‟t believe that there is a disease that you can‟t get over as long as you understand the laws of nature and your body.

Did you know that the well-balanced diet is the misconception that sets us on a road to slow and often painful self-destruction? People who follow the traditional well-balanced diet put an amazing amount of nutritional stress on the body. Why? Well, the well-balanced diet is loaded with protein from sources like meat, poultry, fish and grains. Excess protein forces your body to adjust the way it works to accommodate the change in its environment. This excessive protein creates an acidic level in the body that the body has to neutralize before it can eliminate it through the urine and feces. The body is alkaline by nature and acidic by function. The body creates levels of acid by the action of making energy for the body to function. This acid is easily eliminated by respiration through the lungs. It is the acid forming foods that cause the problems that we need to watch out for.

Our bodies are wonderfully designed as they respond perfectly to every circumstance that confronts it. If the body responds in a way that causes problems we call the problems “symptoms”. Science has taken it a step further and gave certain sets of symptoms labels to identify a particular disease
