There are also several statues and monuments that showcase the history of our great city . The Confederate Memorial Arch stands on the edge of the Cleburne Memorial Cemetery in honor of the Confederate soldiers buried in the cemetery .
A six-foot statue of General Patrick Cleburne stands at the intersection between Buffalo and Chambers streets . Nearby there is a life-sized buffalo statue , appropriately located next to Buffalo Creek on Buffalo Street . The statue represents the American buffalo and bison
that roamed in huge herds across the Great Plains . The animals watered on Buffalo Creek as they traveled through Cleburne .
