Early in 1882 the first passenger train arrived in Cleburne and rail travel began in earnest . The trains still run today on the Texas Eagle route connecting Los Angeles and Chicago . The Cleburne Intermodal Transportation Depot at 206 N . Border St . was built in 1999 and serves Amtrak trains and is the office for CLETRAN , the local bus transit .
