tightly scripted the learning process to make sure to
elicit all the hallmarks of learning. Only they bleach
the learning in the process. Instead, they should
impose an authentic need to know on the students,
give them the tools, and get out of their way.” I love
that! I would like to charge you with the fact that
you become your best by seeking wisdom from the
best, who is the Master Teacher Himself, God.
So, as we continue to enjoy our summer break, plan
on making your future years of teaching “good
becomes great” years. Consider the fact that
disadvantaged kids learn just like advantaged kids
with an effective teacher. Allow that fact to spar you
on to take what you do each day to the next level,
enjoying every moment of it. Isaiah 58:11 tells us,
“The Lord will guide you always; he will satisfy your
needs in a sun-scorched land and will strengthen
your frame. You will be like a well-watered garden,
like a spring whose waters never fail.” When we
follow Jesus, the true Light, we can avoid walking
blindly where we teach void of the impact God
predestined for teachers to have. May you rely on
God to allow this year to be the first of many “good
become great” years of teaching and learning. ~God

Every child deserves a champion
– an adult who will never give up
on them, who understands the
power of connection and insists
that they become the best that they
can possibly be.
