The Magic Harp & the Famous Singer
Runa KesslKer ( 1st Grade )
Hi ! I ’ m Eliza ! And I have a story to tell you ! It all starts out with me . I am the main character . In the story , I am the famous singer . Just in case you were wondering , I am 38 years old . Now , the story begins with me , a month before my show . Now before I say too much , here is the story ...
I had no instruments , and my show was only a month away . I heard about a magical cabin filled with magical instruments : The Cabin of Music ... When I got there , noticing a hammock I climbed in and took a nap . When I woke it was morning , so I went inside . I found a box with rusty , old horns , but of course , none of them worked . Then , I found a box of flutes that shot marshmallows at me . Then , as if marshmallow-shooting flutes weren ’ t cool enough , I found a horn that whenever I spoke into it whatever I said would pop out . The funny thing about this was , the first thing I said was , “ I love candy !” And all of a sudden , a bunch of candy popped out , and a food I ’ ve never seen before . Two , actually , that I guess were “ I ” s and “ Love ” s , but they looked more like blobs of red grass that had been rained and iced on , and the fur of a dead animal that had been covered in melted chocolate that was for some reason filled with coffee grounds and worms ? It was crazy . Suddenly , I peeked around the corner and found what I had been looking for the whole time : the magic harp , an item so precious , not even 10,000 million castles filled with gold and silver up to the chimney tip could pay for it . That was because the whole thing was actually made out of gold ! The frame was gold and the strings were somehow made out of silver . It was said that whoever played it would get so much money just for playing it that they would become the richest person that ever lived . And I loved playing the harp . I picked up the harp . Then I went out and put it in my vehicle . “ That was too easy ,” I thought . I would keep an eye out for anything suspicious .
The show was amazing !!!! I got so much money from the show , I would be surprised if I wasn ’ t already the most richest person who ever lived . But then again , and of course you probably didn ’ t know this , but I didn ’ t actually play the harp in the show . I had actually taken one of the flutes , too , and used it to shoot marshmallows to everyone in the crowd . And then , when I was empty , I played a tune . They loved the marshmallows so much that I got ten extra dollars from every person . And there was a full house ! So that ’ s that . That night I put the harp next to my bed , but when I woke up it wasn ’ t there . In its place was a note — oh no ! — from Witch Cecilia . I knew at once it was bad , but I had no idea just how bad it was . I ran to her house and knocked loudly on the door . One of the butterfly people — who I guess were her servants ?— opened the door for me . “ Yes ? Can I help you ?” the butterfly person said . “ What brings you here , anyway ?” “ I ’ d like to speak with ... uh ...” I stuttered .
