Elegy for a friend
Madelyn R ( 6th Grade )
I come to your place , your home I am welcomed by your big warm smile And the touch of your beaming energy
The strong push of your big wagging tail You are excited , ready to play The way you move your paws You come out to greet me
You walk around You find your favorite bush Eating you favorite treat
You come happy And meet everyone Your a puppy once more
Year after year you jump up You land in prase You are happy
You save me from my greatest threat The slither you know I can ’ t forget The saddened scream my blanked face My worry for you leaps out the gate
Your dark black hair The sky so bright The night comes quick But the light is thick
You grow your hair brown and become old Sorrow seeps through the sky
You die in the moon lights breath
Die … Die … Die
