Foreword
Dear Reader ,
A Little Gray Building is Falk ’ s student-made literary magazine . Students and teachers throughout Falk school have taken the time to create many different pieces of artwork to present for this magazine . In our title this year we added And a Synagogue Too , as our way of reflecting how much we appreciate Rodef Shalom for hosting us this year .
First and foremost we would like to thank Rodef Shalom and their staff for graciously loaning us their building and continually taking care of us . The kindness from the Rodef staff has made the adjustment from Falk to Rodef easy . Rodef has quickly become home to many Falk middle school students and we are extremely grateful for their hospitality . We would also like to thank the students who have submitted their pieces to this literary magazine . Their creativity and hard work have helped this magazine come to life . Thank you to the editing staff for spending their time ensuring the publication and organization of this magazine went smoothly . Lastly , we would like to give a special thanks to the teachers at Falk . This year has been extraordinary and our teachers have been there for us for every step of the way . They have taught us so much despite the challenges of teaching online , and in person during a pandemic . They have kept a positive attitude and gone above and beyond to ensure our experiences at Falk are the best . We are eternally grateful to have them as our teachers . Thank you to Mr . Barnett for helping us organize A Little Gray Building And a Synagogue Too , and for organizing numerous other writing clubs and literary experiences for students . He has been an awesome teacher ( and advisor ) for these past few years , and has helped make our middle school years awesome .
We hope that you enjoy this year ’ s submissions as much as we enjoyed making them . Have a great summer .
Sincerely ,
A Little Gray Building Staff : Camille B , Josh B , Sydney S , Maia R , Cassidy S , Kiana S , and Mr . Barnett
