When I Found Out I Had To Write Six Poems By Monday ( Having Not Been Here On Thursday Or Friday ) I Panicked Until I Recalled A Seriously Awful One-Line Poem I Had Read In My Youth With An Absurdly Long Title — The Poem Itself Only Had Nine Words — And In Honor Of The Great Poets Of My Past ( And Certainly Not As An Excuse For My Own Seriously Awful Poem , Which Was The Only Thing I Sowed From The Ground That Writer ’ s Block Had Left Barren ) I Have Taken It Upon Myself To Write A Thirteen-Word , Three-Line Poem Inspired By That Wonderful Piece Of Literature That So Annoyed Me As A Child ( I ’ m Sure This Will Not Go Wrong ); or , Not Even a Haiku ; or , This Is What Happens When You ’ re Exhausted And Have Writer ’ s Block : The Deadly Duo 93
