My Snow Path - A Sestina

The snow goes black when the moon turns its gaze . Our journeys hidden in footsteps on layers of black snow . Regrets become open to our sight , then are covered , with the slightest of notice .
Excuses in black snow are easy to notice . Lies and sins--the end of prolonged friendships come near when your gaze draws itself to things you must not dwell on . I am more than what I leave in the snow-- I am more than what comes to your sight .
Leave me like I am not wanted in your sight-- Show me that it ’ s not worth notice that I am no more to you than one of the trees that makes a forest atop your gaze-- show me I am no more than an angel impostor on your front lawn of black snow .
You are a sinning angel in my snow conspicuous to sight . Are you yet to notice that you are the empty space where my love once was . Where my gaze perpetually settles itself on ?
Despite my many mistakes , on goes my life--actions expressed in my snow path . Although surely I will soon leave your sight , I will be first to notice the length of our intertwined path and the way crossed then joined will always catch my gaze .
And when time comes and my gaze lays its last on you , I and my snow path will leave your sight . You will soon after notice that I was more than the
friend of your middle years--the fact your gaze
