• Give a briefing to the crew. Induct new crew to the boat and each other

• Hatches dogged( fastened) but not locked
• Lifejackets, issued and ficed
• Food on board, fridge on and water filled,
• Turn on the circuit breakers for, fresh water pump, fridge, VHF, instruments and electric toilets.
• GPS should be on and the VHF switched on. Carry out a radio check.
• Stow gear
• Head count( Maximum of 14 people on board)
• Double check the weather
• Set lines to exit.

• Make sure you know where the shallow areas are so you do not run aground.
• Ager leaving, recheck hatches, door locks and stow fenders and mooring lines.
