Preparing

leave

briefing

the
crew.
Induct
new
crew
to
the
boat
and
each
other
• Shore
power
is
unplugged,
always
unplug
from
the
dock
before
the
boat.
• Engines
on

• Hatches
dogged
(fastened)
but
not
locked
• Lifejackets,
issued
and
fided
• Food
on
board,
fridge
on
and
water
filled,
• Turn
on
the
circuit
breakers
for,
fresh
water
pump,
fridge,
VHF,
instruments
and
electric
toilets.
• GPS
should
be
on
and
the
VHF
switched
on.
Carry
out
a
radio
check.

Stow
gear
• Head
count
(Maximum
of
14
people
on
board)
• Double
check
the
weather
• Set
lines
to
exit.
• Brief
crew
on
the
plan.
• Make
sure
you
know
where
the
shallow
areas
are
so
you
do
not
run
aground.
• Ajer
leaving,
recheck
hatches,
door
locks
and
stow
fenders
and
mooring
lines.
