Only in his mid-20s who recently quit his job to become an Amway Business Owner, Gem would make the quintessential millennial. Yet, like other millennilals, this is just one of his many hats. Gem is actually part of Amway Philippines’ newly launched Youth and Active Council, a band of young and successful business owners assigned to help shape the company’ s business direction that’ s generally friendly to their millennial business owners. Gem is one of around 10 ABOs from across the country convening on a quarterly basis to come up with effective youth-targeted campaigns, encompassing both the online and offline realms.
Ryan Fernandez, an ABO who also dabbles in photography, shares the inspiration about the Council’ s formation.“ Amway is a 20-year-old enterprise in the Philippines now looking into the future. In those 20 years, there’ s been a lot of new blood. Most of the ABOs also have children or their second generation who are involved or have reached out as new, excited ABOs.”
