Vision for the Future

At Aleh, we have a dream. Our dream envisions a society where the disabled are recognized as people first, with the same needs and feelings as all other children and adults. This society is committed to providing its weaker members with the same quality health care, educational establishments and work opportunities. This society befriends those who are different, sharing experiences together and learning to understand one another.
Aleh is developing an independent Special Education School so that its children can go off to school every morning, just like other children. It will establish Assisted-Living Residential Homes within the community, to enable its young adults to live and work in a supportive environment while surrounded by family and friends. It will expand its family bonding programs and develop new integrative opportunities for community involvement. At the same time, it will complete its on-site Rehabilitative Hospitals so children with complex medical conditions can receive quality health care in a homey, warm atmosphere within the specialized medical environment they require.
Aleh’ s dream is a global one, in which disabled people worldwide will enter a new age of acceptance and integration. Through ongoing lobbying, high-level research programs, and integration and mainstreaming from an early age, Aleh will fulfill its vision of building a society that looks beyond the disability to the child within.
