ALBINISM

Albinism was discovered on November 25th 1857 by Sir Archibald Edward Garrod.

Not all people diagnosed with albinism have white skin and hair.

Albinism can remove pigmentation from your eyes, damaging your vision

Some signs and symptoms of albinism include the increased risk of burning in the sun, very light hair and/or skin, large unpigmented moles, and extreme nearsightedness or farsightedness

There are no known cures for albinism

Albinism can lead to diseases called Hermansky-Pudlak and Chediak-Higashi syndrome.
