Recognizing Excellence
Nominations for the Edmonton and
Calgary Event Awards have now
opened! These awards are an oppor-
tunity to recognize suppliers, planners,
new products/ideas and events them-
selves that have raised the bar within our
industry. The Calgary awards will be held on
March 7 and the Edmonton awards on March

Mark your calendars for February 12-13, 2018 for the
Annual Go West Conference, taking place in Edmonton.
Over the two days, event professionals will gather together
from across Canada to connect, network, and grow. The
conference starts with Event Industry Trends and Forecasts
by David Merrell and then goes into a Creativity and Event
Design session being lead by industry leaders. Day one
ends with a networking social event. Day two looks at
Event Branding, Marketing and Social Media as well as
the “Experiential Hall” which is a trade show connect-
ing planners with vendors in an interactive setting. For
