Mid-July there is an annual migration of the international fishing community to Orlando Florida for the International Convention of Allied Sportfishing Trades show - ICAST as it’s more commonly referred to. Two additional trade groups hold shows that are in the same halls, the International Fly Tackle Dealer Show (IFTD) features everything in the fly fishing world, and the National Marine Manufacturers Association (NMMA) has the boating world represented. It is a massive congregation of all of the latest, greatest, tested and tweaked products developed in the industry ‘round the globe - on display for the first time. Company reps and industry pros are on hand to showcase and connect with retail, wholesale, industry partners, and media. The newest trends and buzz around the gear is incredible. With over 650 000 square feet of exhibits at the Orange County Convention Center, attendees demo and handle show-winning sonar, rods and reels, new gear and tackle, asking questions on the spot about features and specs.
