Alberta Fishing Guide 2016 Mid-Summer Digital | Page 245

I love the challenge of trying to catch a moment in time that no one else has captured before. Seems impossible today with everyone walking around with a camera next to them, but theres always a chance you will catch something nobody else ever has, and I love the excitement of that challenge.

Photos connect you to other places in the world. Social media outlets like Facebook and Instagram allow us to view the photos people are taking from all over the world. Those photos show us the beauty of places and the fish in them that we may not have known. Also occasionally due to injuries or jobs we are not able to be out fishing, so for people viewing photos online and living vicariously through other people's adventures is what keeps us going. I like to hear this from followers, that my own fun adventures excite them and give them something to look forward too.

Being part of a community. There are so many talented fly fishing photographers out there that are more than willing to share tips and talk fishing.
