Wildflower Mixtures
These mixes contain 10 to 20 perennial and annual species providing natural beauty and pollinator
habitat all season long. Plant 8-12 lbs. per acre or 4 oz. per 1000 sq. ft. into weed free soil in spring.
A late fall dormant seeding is a second option. Weeds are inevitable during establishment and
should be pulled or mowed off before they go to seed or become too competitive with the flowers.
Mowing in the fall knocks the seed out of annual seed heads for self-sowing.
