Star Wars: BATTLEFRONT
PROS:Fantastic visuals capture the classic movie aesthetic. Large-scale battles are chaotic and exciting. Playable movie characters like Luke Skywalker and Emperor Sheev Palpatine add a dynamic twist to the gameplay. Great multiplayer matchmaking.
CONS:Game feels simplistic and repetitive once the Star Wars novelty wears off. Bland character progression and customization. Clunky flight controls. Currently suffers from server/latency issues
BOTTOM LINE
Star Wars: Battlefront is a decent shooter that injects a handful of gimmicks to keep the gameplay interesting. However a lack of variety in the maps, game modes, guns, and character development prevents the game from reaching its potential.
Star Wars: Battlefront ($59.99) is a multiplayer shooter designed to reboot the classic LucasArts video game series. Unlike previous games in the series, Star Wars: Battlefront lacks an overarching narrative and historic battles to reenact; it's basically a modern shooter given a liberal coat of Star Wars paint. The veneer is a fine one, and Battlefront has some good action to offer, but once you look past the façade, the game doesn't have enough content or variety to keep you invested for long. Star Wars: Battlefront$50.60 at WalMart is available on PC, as well as PlayStation 4£269.95 at Amazon and Xbox One£259.94 at Amazon.
