SITKA CHARR
Sitka CHARR would like to introduce our new executive director Patricia MacPike . She will be taking over the position that was long held by Helen Cunningham . Helen was an original member of Sitka CHARR and has been with them through many changes in policies and governance that regulate such organizations . Her historical insight and knowledge will be greatly missed .
Patti has been working closely with Helen the past several years to bring Sitka CHARR into the age of technology . They started well before Covid hit so we have been able to function and keep business going through the changing times .
Patti ’ s work experience has been varied - everything from waitressing , housekeeping , and property management to teaching high school kids , working in mental health and finally as an Enrolled Agent for Shaffer & Co CPAs LLC . She has been an active volunteer for many activities in her life . Her longest stint has been as a Girl Scout leader for twenty years . Being the new Member in Charge for Sitka CHARR is her latest adventure . It combines her passion for helping small businesses succeed and supporting charitable organizations . “ Every dollar we can contribute and keep in our community and state is the best investment we can make as an organization to help sustain our future generation of workers and leaders .”
