Repeal Day
5TH DECEMBER
On December 5 , 1933 at 5:32 pm , the 21st Amendment was ratified , and prohibition was repealed , allowing all Americans of age to imbibe legally . 2020 will mark the 87th anniversary and we at CHARR , along with our affiliates and members , continue to fight for this right !
In years past your Alaska CHARR staff , CHARR statewide affiliates , bars , restaurants , cabarets , and other industry peers have joined in hosting repeal day parties . In light of current conditions , we just don ’ t know if that will be possible this year . We want to share with you photos of parties past and the desire to be together again .
Please check with your local establishments , the Alaska CHARR website and social media as we get closer to December 5th to see if we are able to execute safe , fun events to promote our industry being able to provide great cocktails to our guests legally since 1933 ! Happy Days Are Beer Again ! Cheers !
