“ Team Alaska” traveled to Baltimore, Maryland, this spring to compete at the 2026
National ProStart Invitational( NPSI) after earning state championships at the Alaska ProStart Invitational. Representing the Great State of Alaska were King Tech High School in the Culinary competition and Delta High School in the Restaurant Management competition. Competing against the nation’ s top hospitality programs, Delta High School earned a 24th-place finish in Management while King
Tech High School secured 27th place in Culinary. Beyond the rankings, students gained invaluable experience, strengthened their technical and professional skills, built connections with peers from across the country, and proudly represented Alaska’ s hospitality industry on the national stage. Their success reflects the dedication of educators, industry mentors, families, and supporters who continue to invest in developing Alaska’ s future hospitality leaders.
