Sitka CHARR is a proud sponsor of the Selman Memorial Golf Tournament and the Alaska CHARR convention . They also are a proud sponsor of the Sitka High Mock Trial team . This past weekend the team took 1st and 3rd place honors at the 33rd Annual Alaska High School Mock Trial Championship . “ We are dedicating our 5th state title to Stan Filler and the generous members of Sitka ’ s Cabaret , Hotel , Restaurant , and Retailers Association . Sitka CHARR has been our greatest sponsor , and it is only with their financial support our team has been able to travel to Anchorage and represent Sitka every year since 2010 . Thank you , CHARR !”

Kodiak CHARR funds the New Years ’ Eve Free Cab Ride Program . Kodiak CHARR funds the bus service for the Lion ’ s Club ‘ Warm August Night ,’ a musical festival . EACH YEAR , Kodiak CHARR holds a donation party at Tony ’ s Bar , where they donate $ 5,000.00 each to two non-profits and an extensive buffet . Kodiak CHARR underwrites some non-profits .

ABOUT KETCHIKAN CHARR :
All Ketchikan CHARR members are welcome to their monthly membership & Board meetings . Meetings are held at one of their local members ’ establishments from noon-1:00 pm every 3rd Thursday of the month . Please email Ktncharr @ gmail . com with your contact info to be added to the contact list .
The following three meeting dates are April 21 , May 19 & June 16 .
May 6 : Ketchikan CHARR hosts the 29th annual “ A Taste of Ketchikan ” wine tasting . In addition to the latest and most excellent choices in wine & seasonal beers , Hors D ’ oeuvres will be provided by their fantastic restaurant members !
August 6 : Annual Ketchikan CHARR Beerfest . This fundraiser supports the Ketchikan CHARR Education Fund scholarship program . With live music , complimentary dinner & over 200 beers to choose from , this is a summer event not to miss .
September ’ s Labor Day weekend welcomes the Ketchikan CHARR Education Fund Salmon derby . Fish and try your hand at landing the largest salmon — prizes for every age range and salmon size .
November is time to nominate the following year ’ s Ketchikan CHARR Board of Directors . Keep an eye out for the nomination letter . Nominations for Board members are open for 30 days , don ’ t miss out on running for a seat on the Board .
December is Election month . Details of election dates & location will be set in November . Have a complimentary lunch , catch up with friends & cast your vote !

Mat-Su CHARR doesn ’ t typically have set meetings , but it ’ s safe to say they have at least one regular meeting a quarter and an annual board / membership meeting held sometime in the second quarter — 2022 , date TBD .
They ’ ve participated in Rotary events benefitting My House in Wasilla , and last year they were able to donate $ 5,500 to each of the local valley food banks .
