Alaska ’ s Statewide Repeal Parties
After taking last year off , Alaskans came out in style to celebrate the 8 th Annual Prohibition Repeal Day Party . CHARR members participated with toasts , themed cocktails , prohibition-themed costumes , live music , and more .
On December 5 , 1933 at 5:32 pm , the 21 st Amendment was ratified , and prohibition was repealed , allowing all Americans of age to imbibe legally . We at CHARR , along with our affiliates and members , will continue to fight for this right ! Cheers to beer and cocktails !
