Sisters of Unity
As salaamu alaikum wa rahmatullahi wa barakaatuh, three
years ago in Cairo my friends
and I collaborated on starting an
online book club. We decided
to start reading Islamic text on
Skype. The first book was titled
“20 Pieces of Advice to My
Sister Before Her Marriage”, by
Shaykh Badr bin Ali Al-Utaybee.
The book club started with ten
or more sisters. In the years to
follow, our reading experience
gained the attention of sisters
worldwide, from the USA, to
Canada, the Maldives, the UAE
and Australia. Due to technical
difficulties we decided to transition from Skype to WizIQ. This
allowed us to engage in weekly
quizzes and test.
Over the years S.O.U.R.C.E.S
(Sisters of Unity, Reading,
Changing, Exploring & Striving)
began offering more than just
online readings, we introduced
Quran classes, Arabic classes,
live lectures as well as virtual

Knowledge
learning events. In 2012, due to
busy schedules S.O.U.R.C.E.S
closed its doors temporarily,
but with patience, dua and perseverance the sisters of
S.O.U.R.C.E.S have come together with much motivation, dedication and enthusiasm offering
benefits of knowledge through
many dawah efforts including
our weekly online e-newsletter
Al-Mufeed (The Beneficial).
Al-Mufeed is an open platform
for you to access a variety of
resourceful information. There?s
something for everyone. Direction for the one who?s lost his
way, hope for the hopeless,
strength for the weak and more.
Umm Hafsa Zuhadydah offers

Do you enjoy your job?
YES!!! I enjoy helping others. I am
a BUSINESS OWNER not an employee. I create my own schedule
around my house needs. I can
build my business how I see fit
without worrying about getting
fired, being late, reprimanded, or
commuting.
How does the community benefit from your product(s)?
The community benefits from my
products because they uplift peoples spirits, by sending them the
feeling that someone cares about
them individually or collectively.
For example, "Employee of the
month", "Just because,"
"Anniversaries," Housewarmings,"
"Birth of a baby," "Landing new
clients," "College acceptance,"
"Promotions," Sick relatives,"
"Elderly" etc." My products help
people send smiles to others and
we all could use more smiles,
right?!
What are your future goals?
My future goals are to reach as
many people I can to help spread
the goodness a gift can bring to all
young and old! To become financially comfortable with residual
income of $500+/month by Summer 2014.
Where are you located?
I'm located in Cincinnati, OH.
What are some obstacles you've
faced in operating your own
business?
While operating any business there
will be many obstacles. Time man-

agement, learning what works
best for you in advertising, what
will be your best sellers, spending
money to promote your new
business, convincing others at
first to trust your word and
products -finding your niche. Any
new thing takes patience and
perseverance.
