The India Silk Tallboy
A mahogany bombé tallboy chest, the rectangular moulded edge top above an arrangement of four drawers and
four further graduated shaped serpentine drawers below, applied with finely cast brass escutcheons and drop
handles, on a plinth base with ogee bracket feet.
The original George III, circa 1770, in the manner of Thomas Chippendale. Inspired by the bed in the India Silk
Bedroom at Althorp.
