he Giving Pledge is a campaign to public the wish of the wealthiest people in the
world to make a commitment to give most of their wealth to philanthropic
causes. The campaign specifically focuses on billionaires and was made public in
2010 by Warren Buffett and Bill Gates. According to News reports more than 100
billionaires committed to giving a significant part of their fortunes to charity". An
estimate of the contribution promised by them may run into over 100 billion mark.
According to the pledge the donation can happen either during the lifetime or
after the death of the donor. The pledge is a moral commitment to give, not a legal
contract.
The list includes the donors from all over the world.

Bill Gates
The moral systems of religion are super important. We want to raised our kids in a
religious way. I've been very lucky, and therefore I owe it to try and reduce the inequity in
the world. And that's kind of a religious belief. I mean, it's at least a moral belief.
His foundation is organized to execute and monitor all charitable work efficiently.
