uestioner: I want money and
prestige. I want to become
somebody great in this world. I want
to earn lot of money and also spend a lot.
What should I do?
nswer: Let's take the first point: You
want to earn a lot and spend a lot.
You have to find out the reasons for
the same: Dadashri says that you get money
by 'punya' [credit of good deeds from your
past birth] and this can only be achieved by
giving happiness to every living creature. So,
first of all, stop giving slightest pain to
anyone by your thoughts, words or action.
By giving happiness to others you develop
your 'punya', and due to that you receive
wealth. Then, for getting more money you
don't have to study hard or do hard work.
In the same way, if you want
prestige, you want to earn a good name in
the world, you have to do such deeds. If you
have to your credit 'Yashnam Karma' from
your past life, you gain prestige. If your
intent is always to do good of the people,
the nature will take you ahead till you reach
the top of the ladder. If you do not misuse
your 'seat' then people will praise you and
call you 'great'.
If money is used for noble purpose,
only then its usage can be considered
justified. Otherwise, if lots of money is spent
on splurging after one's luxurious life style
delusions, then in the next birth he will be
born a beggar. So, if you intend to use
money, do so for good helpful purpose, only
then it would be worthy.
Even if you serve your mother father
and guru heartily, you will earn high rewards.
You will gain money and prestige in society.
