executives are doing to address use-of-force issues from an ethical
point of view. The research must describe modern methods of
controlling police brutality, the Use of Force Matrix, training, and
legal issues concerning use of force by law enforcement.
· Contemporary ethical issues in criminal justice and private security:
This research must examine two or more recent events in criminal
justice that have had a profound effect on the way policies and
procedures are executed or carried out. Examine the issues that made
the events so significant. Investigate why these issues have such an
effect on the criminal justice system. What changes did the events
bring about? Why? What affect will they have on the future of
criminal justice? Why?
· Ethical decision making in criminal justice and private security: This
research must address contemporary issues surrounding behavior and
historical perspectives on criminal justice ethics. What contemporary
issues have affected ethical decision making by modern criminal
justice personnel? What are the public expectations of the criminal
justice system? Why?
Write a 2,100- to 2,850-word research paper on the selected topic. The
paper must include the following:
· A problem or issue statement
· Research questions
· A literature review
· Conclusions
· Recommendations
Include a minimum of eight references from texts, articles, journals,
local police or criminal justice policy, and websites, of which no more
than two may be websites.The required texts for class may be used but
