Dear Aviv, Before the blessing, I wanted to tell you about a religious friend I met at the beginning of my work as a prison guard. The friend told me about his analogy for the term " Mazal Tov ", I accepted his analogy and to this day I wish his blessing, and so I have passed it on to you. Mazal or M. Z. L is made up of the words – place / makom – time / zman – why / lama. May you always be in a good place- wherever you find yourself will be a good place for you and those around you. May you always experience in a good time- wherever you experience will be a good time for you and those around you. May you always have a reason for why it is good- that you will always have a reason to enjoy, experience and be in good times. With hearts full of pride, love and excitement, we congratulate you on your ordination as a rabbi and wish you Mazal Tov. The path you have taken up to this moment is a testament to your deep commitment, the values that guide you, your broad heart and your sincere desire to give of yourself to others.
