felted S O A P travel makes a great companion too! what is FELT? Sheep's  wool   makes  a   superb   100%   natural   fibre   that   when   exposed  to   heat,   moisture   and   fricUon   creates   a   non-‐woven   natural  fabric   called  felt.    The   combinaUon  of   moisture,   heat   and  an  alkaline   substance   such  as  soap   cause   the  outer  parts   of   the   wool   fibre   barbs   to  open  with   the   slippery   properUes   of   soap  making  these   fibers   tangling   together   when  agitated   or   subjected   to   pressure.   Deep   within   the   wool   fibers   is   a   protein  called   kera5n   which   serves   as  a   glue   to   bind   all   the   fibers  together  thus  forming  felt.     The   top   quality   wool   used   to   create   our   felt   soap   is   100%   Merino,   from   a   breed   of   Merino   sheep   that   is   raised   solely   for   its   wool   in   Australia.     No   animal   is   harmed  in   the   wool   gathering  process.   why felt SOAP? There   are   101  reasons  to  felt  soap.    As  you've   just   discovered,   wool   plus  soap  are   the  two   prime   ingredients  to   make   felt  and  by  leaving  the   newly  made  felt  on   the   soap  delivers  a   luxurious  product   that  is  not   only   a   superb  exfoliator   but   also   makes  the   soap   last  up  to  3   Umes  longer   than  without   the   felUng.    By  felUng   our   own   hand   made   soap,   we   are   giving   you   a   loofah,   body   wash   puff   and   soap   all   in   one.   Gentle   agitaUon   of   the   felted   soap   across   your   body   and   hair   generates  lots   of   fluffy  lather   without  the   nuisance   of  the   soap  slipping  out  of   your   hands  as  the   felt   makes  the   soap   easier  to  handle   and  to  grip.  This  is  a   great   soluUon  for  people  with  limited  mobility  in  their  hands.   The   felt   casing   around   our   soap   works   to   wick   away   moisture   from   the   soap   making   it   easier   and   quicker   to   achieve   a   dry   soap   and   thus   preserve   the   wholesome   goodness  of   the   glycerin  that   occurs  naturally  during  the   soap  making  process.   This   glycerin  serves   to  hydrate   and  lock-‐in  moisture   in  your   skin  and   hair.   What's  more,   if   used   as  a   shampoo,   you   don't   have   the   terrible   task   of   picking   out   your   hair   from   the   soap   bar   a\er   shampooing!   This   luxury   item   is  a   fabulous   travel   companion  (as  are   all   our   soap  and  shampoo  bars)   as   they  offer   all   the  benefits  on  being  a   mulU-‐purpose   product   in  one   item  without   the   need   for  a  soap  case  or  box  to  protect  the  soap  during  your  travels! There   is  one   last  secret   benefit   that   felted   soap  offers;  as  the  soap  within  the   felt  casing  diminishes,   the   felt  shrinks  to  fit.  However,   once  the   soap  inside  the   felt   casing   has  been   completely   used,   the   felt   casing   is   le\   for   you  to   up-‐cycle   into   a   handy   lifle   scented   clothes   pomander.  Simply   fill   with   lavender   buds,  rose   petals  or  potpourri,  add  a  few  drops  of  your  favourite  essenUal  oils,  close  the  opening  with  a  ribbon  or  similar  and  hang!  How  cool  is  that? Wet   the   felted   soap   and   gently   massage   in   circular   moUon   over   your   face,   body,   hands   and   /or   hair.   The   moUon   triggers   a   gorgeous   fluffy   skin   and   hair   condiUoning  lather.   To  store:  Remove  as  much  moisture  as  possible  from  the  felted  soap  and  leave  to  air  dry  in  a  non-‐humid  environment.
