What your role could involve.
• Supporting advanced avionics to furnish pilots with real-time access to comprehensive battle-space information and the ability to share sensor data and actionable information.
• Ensuring the high performance of aircraft radar, communications, reconnaissance and target acquisition equipment.
• Repairing on-board technologies that select, arm and release weapons
• Maintaining the systems that generate and distribute electricity on aircraft.
As aircraft engineering specialists, Aircraft Technicians( Avionics) you may carry out maintenance and repair work on the sophisticated electronics and avionics on-board RAF aircraft such as:
• Radar.
• Communication and Identification systems.
• Image and data acquisition including reconnaissance and target acquisition equipment.
• Navigation.
• Aircraft defensive aides systems.
• Weapon aiming and delivery systems.
• Aircraft flight control systems.
