As with my A10, a 22 Channel 2.4 GHz Weatronics dual receiver is entrusted to keep the Decathlon in the air.
Servos 8 x JR8911, 25kg each Kill Switch and Smoke PumpPowerbox
Batteries
Li-fre and Li ion. Two for Weatronics, one for the ignition with voltage
regulator , one for landing light and one for smoke system.
Simple battery charging board. No switches except for the Weatronics
which is electronic. At day’s end pull the plugs and charge directly into the
heavy duty wires leading to the batteries.
Lights
1 LED Cree. Look into this one directly for a second and you won’t see
anything else for minutes thereafter.
Cockpit Detail
Seats were fashioned from blue foam and the upholstery was skilfully
done by my ever supportive wife Pippa.
Test Flight Report
The best complement I could give this aircraft was that its first flight was
