REGULAR ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
Must have entered BRTC before 39 th birthday .
Qualifications
You will need GCSEs ( or acceptable equivalents ) at a minimum of Grade C ( Grade 4 to 5 with effect from Aug 17 ), in English Language and Mathematics or Scottish Certificate of Education ( SCE ) Standard Grades at a minimum of Grade 2 , in English Language and Mathematics or ( Grade A – C ) Scottish National Equivalent ( SNE ) grades at Grade 5 , in English Language and Mathematics .
For academic qualification requirements for currently serving aviator please refer to AP3393 , Volume 1 , Chapter 2 , Section 2 - Internal Commissioning Scheme ( noting that the minimum GCSE Mathematics Grade for NCC is C ( Grade 4 to 5 with effect from Aug 17 ).

Residency
Whether or not you were born in the United Kingdom , you should normally have resided there for the 5 years immediately preceding your application , but candidates with a minimum of 3 years may be considered .
If you have resided abroad for a period within this timeframe , dependant on the circumstances you may still be eligible on a case by case basis .
Nationality
You must be a citizen of the United Kingdom or holder of dual UK / other nationality .
