AIR TRAFFIC AND WEAPONS CONTROLLER
The specialisation of Air Traffic and Weapons Controller also known as Non-Commissioned Controller is part of the Air & Space Operations Profession within the RAF, which also includes Control Officer, Operations Officer, Operations Specialist, Aviation Data Analyst, Firefighter and RAF Reserve Meteorology Officer.
Professions in the RAF are distinct areas of defence expertise where common skills and attributes are required to deliver on demand. Whilst Service Personnel can expect to spend the majority of their career in their chosen Specialisation they may be employed in any of the Specialisations within their Profession: this will depend upon aptitude, qualifications, career aspirations and the Service need.
