THE WRIGHT STUFF
W
ith Tourism Australia’s recent Super Bowl trailer for ‘Dundee: The son of a legend returns
home’ setting the internet alight, the Northern Territory stand is set to have its very own
outback Aussie icon in the form of Matt Wright.
Known across 130 countries as the ‘Outback Wrangler’ via his crocodile and animal adventure
television series, Matt also features in the new Tourism Australia campaign in a light-hearted video
called ‘Why Australia’, one of a series of four videos in which American actor Danny McBride chats
with Australian celebrities who provide their personal perspective and unique insights on Australia.
Matt is only one of many reasons to say g’day to the guys on the NT stand (#1550), with NT
Convention Bureau and a large contingent of 18 industry partners, representing the entire
Territory from Darwin and the Top End through to Alice Springs and Uluru, serving up some
legendary Territory hospitality during the dedicated networking hour at AIME from 5pm on the
Tuesday afternoon.
The drinks menu will feature special NT-inspired lemon myrtle gin and tonics and mango mojitos,
complemented by smoked barramundi from the NT’s Humpty Doo Barra Farm, crocodile kabana,
native pepper-crusted beef and lemon myrtle-infused feta with green ants.
So come on up to the NT stand and meet the crew: Accor Darwin Airport, Alice Event Management
& Consultancy, Alice Springs Convention Centre, Crocosaurus Cove, Darwin Convention Centre,
