he 26 th edition of Asia-Pacific Incentives and Meetings
Expo (AIME) is only days away from opening its doors,
giving all the events industry the opportunity to learn,
connect and be inspired by the experiences on show.
Hosted by the Melbourne Convention Bureau (MCB), AIME
2018 will connect a global community of over 4000 people
for two powerful days of networking, education and business.
Attendees will be able to engage with more than 400
exhibitors who will be showcasing the best the events
industry has to offer, plus attend a series of dedicated
networking events and be inspired by the line-up of
internationally renowned industry speakers.
AIME 2018 kicks off with Uncover Melbourne – City
Experiences on February 18, with Hosted Buyers visiting
three MCB partner organisations for a complete destination
experience. This will be followed by the Uncover Melbourne:
Hosted Buyer and Media Cocktail Reception, which will
immerse guests in Melbourne’s history while enjoying a
relaxed networking evening in Old Melbourne Gaol. On
February 19, Melbourne Edge will see Hosted Buyers
engaged in interactive workshops exploring the topic of
‘Creative Conferencing’.
The highly anticipated Welcome Event on February 19
will focus on Melbourne’s festival culture, with Melbourne
Convention Bureau and Solution Entertainment collaborating
once again to deliver the event which will act as the platform
to launch Ormond Collective by The Big Group.
Event technology, regional and global industry trends and
forecasts, case studies on techniques to enhance pop
culture, destinations and live events are among the topics at
the AIME 2018 Knowledge Program.
Following the success of 2017, AIME 2018 will again host
Saxton ‘Up Close and Personal’ sessions looking at everything
from robot learning to resilience and Millennials.
