THE POWER OF KNOWLEDGE
K
nowledge and inspiration are two of the key pillars at AIME 2018, with this year’s
Knowledge Program featuring a line-up of industry experts and thought leaders
ready to offer practical skills and insights to benefit growth and understanding in the
changing landscape.
Today’s sessions kick off at 9:30am with What destinations are doing to woo business
events. Mike Williams, Senior Partner, Gaining Edge will be delivering an insight into what
destinations around the world are doing to attract business events to their shores. What
types of support, services and developments are taking place to incentivise meeting
planners and how to work with destinations to optimise the success of an event.
Amplifying the power of live events at 11:45am sees Vincent Mehta, Business
Development Manager at Cvent lead a session to understand how to amplify the proven
power of live events by tracking your attendee journey throughout the event and utilising
insights to inform and personalise the rest of your marketing to those attendees. Learn
how to integrate this data with your marketing automation and CRM and share the power
with the rest of your organisation.
The way we live: Technology and events at 1:35pm will explore both technology based
events that promote the benefits of technology in different formats and how these events
change the way we live. A panel of industry experts – Robyn Johnson, CEO at Meetings
and Events Australia, Dean Zabrieszach, CEO at HMI Technologies, Michael Walsh,
Director of Strategy and Innovation at Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre, and
Jo-Anne Kelleway, CEO at Info Salons Group – will explore the dynamics of the Intelligent
Transports Systems Congress held in Melbourne, the importance of technology when
building infrastructure and the global landscape in the registration space.
