NTI also sponsors the sate’s largest adult education program. The major program offered is English as a second language for individ- uals who are not fluent in English. Graduates can then transfer into diploma programs. NORTHWEST ARKANSAS COMMUNITY COLLEGE allows you to take advantage of the school’s small class sizes and personalized instruction to prepare for your career, or to pursue additional degrees. The school’s goal is to empower lives through affordable, quality education. NWACC offers two-year associate degree programs in many fields, including business management, graphic design, computer program- ming, criminal justice, nursing and culinary arts. The community college also has more than 20 technical certificate programs, designed to prepare you with the skills needed to be successful in the workforce. NWACC is the largest two-year college in Arkansas and plans to build a second campus in Springdale. The school recently opened Bright- water: A Center for the Study of Food. The center in Bentonville offers NWACC’S Construction Management and Building Sciences program is another way the school is preparing students for in-demand careers. The Construction Technology Associate of Applied Science degree is designed for people who want to become field supervisors, estimators, project engineers or project superintendents. The Building Science division also includes electrical, HVAC, and plumbing apprenticeship programs. Students at the community college finish their courses with the skills they need to start building a successful career, or they may choose to transfer to a four-year college to complete a bachelor’s degree. Tuition at NWACC depends on where you live. People who live in NorthWest Arkansas Community College’s taxing district – the Ben- tonville and Rogers school districts – pay $75 per credit hour. In-state students living outside the taxing district pay $122.50 per credit hour. Financial aid may be available to students who qualify.
