KEEP COOL WHILE TURNING UP THE HEAT
Start a good-paying career right out of school with this Springdale based company.
PASCHAL HEAT, AIR & GEOTHERMAL is a growing company that has been in business for more than 45 years and is known for its quality work and excellent customer service. Paschal installs, maintains, and repairs heating and cooling systems in homes and businesses, but its career opportunities go far beyond that. The company needs people for customer service, accounting, maintenance, administrative roles, installation and many other jobs.
Charley Boyce is Paschal’ s president. He believes a career in the skilled trades, like HVAC, is a good opportunity because there’ s a shortage of people with technical skills.“ A college degree isn’ t the only path to a successful career. I went to college, but when I graduated I realized this is where the jobs are. You can go to college and end up with $ 20,000 or $ 30,000 in debt and may not make much money. Or, you can go into the trades and start making a good living right away, earning anywhere from $ 30,000 to $ 40,000 or even up to $ 100,000 a year.”
Jay Cockerham is an installation manager and says working at Paschal is more than just a job— it’ s a career.“ You can go far here. This career provides a good living for my family.” Cockerham wanted to work for Paschal because of the company’ s good reputation.“ I respected that they always take care of the customer. That’ s important to me. In this business, at the end of the day if the customer is happy, you’ re a hero.” Customer service is at the heart of what Paschal does.“ We’ re a customer service company before anything,” Cockerham explains.“ Having mechanical aptitude is good, but your personal skills are equally important. You need to be trustworthy, be able to communicate, and get along with other people.”
Several team members got their start as customer service representatives, like Kaitlyn Cross who is now the sales coordinator and head of customer experience. She says Paschal offers opportunities no matter what your background is.“ I have a degree in art— that’ s not something you think you
would use in this business. But I get to use my creativity to help with our marketing and find new ways to make sure our customers have positive experiences.” Cross is also a member of the Arkansas National Guard and says the support she receives at work is important.“ Service to our country and community is a big part of our company’ s culture. Giving back is a priority at Paschal.” The company actively supports several local charities including the American Heart Association and CASA of Northwest Arkansas.
Paschal’ s culture is what drew Stephanie Johnson to the company. She’ s a project coordinator in charge of organizing the details of all of the company’ s jobs, but she used to work in a law office as a paralegal.“ I never thought I’ d work for an HVAC business, but there are so many opportunities here for different types of careers.” She appreciates that Paschal gives team members the tools and training they need to succeed.“ This company will help you find a position where you can shine. Not every company is willing to help you learn and grow your career.”
Paschal Heat, Air & Geothermal wants to create even more opportunities. The company plans to add new lines of business in the future with plumbing, electrical and insulation services. A new, larger location in Tontitown is also helping Paschal better serve our community. To learn how you can become part of the team, visit www. paschalcorp. com.
