Michael Villegas
works in sales, but
has held several
different jobs as
he moved up in the
company. He was first hired at ABC Supply as a driver’s
helper more than 11 years ago.
“I was looking for a job and had worked in construction before as
a framer,” he recalls. Villegas soon moved up to become a driver
— a job he loved — and later saw another opportunity to advance.
“There was an opening for a warehouse manager and I applied.
Moving up to that position meant taking on more responsibilities, but
that helped me grow my career. I had a goal to make something of
myself, so I decided to step up.”
ABC Supply wants to help to help make your goals a reality. “This

branch manager. “That means we treat our associates with respect
and give them the tools they need to succeed.” Those tools include
ABC University, a program that backs up online lessons with hands-
on training. Topics include how to handle hazardous material,
operating a forklift, safety, and even customer service skills.

That’s why ABC Supply has been named a 10-time
Great Workplace Award Winner by Gallup, Inc., a
company that surveys employees and customers about
their experiences.
“We believe that the more engaged our associates
are, the better they serve our customers,” Willard says. Branch-
es that do well in customer service are rewarded. “Each time
our branch ranks in the top 25 for customer satisfaction, every
associate gets $400. We also do profit sharing and employees
may receive a check for thousands of dollars.” That’s in addition
to other benefits like paid vacation and health, dental and vision
insurance for full-time employees.

The company promotes from within whenever possible and also
plans to keep expanding. A new 20,000 square foot warehouse
at the Lowell location is creating jobs by adding positions for
driver helpers and warehouse crew members.
The company also needs forklift operators and truck drivers, but
you must be at least 21 and have a commercial driver’s license to
drive one of the company’s trucks.
