Point of Interest The main points of interests (and also the points where a lot of young people meet) are for sure the three famous squares: Piazza della Frutta, Piazza delle Erbe, and Piazza dei Signori. All around these wonderful squares you can see an incredible quantity of cafés, bars, little shops, “canteen” that sell wine, and on the famous “university Wednesday” all the university students meet here in the night just to hang out together and drink something. The most representative place of the city is Prato della Valle: a huge square which is said to be the second largest square of Europe after Red Square in Moscow. It was built during the Roman Empire and from the 18th century it is surrounded by the 78 statues of the most famous men of the city. It is a lovely place to relax, meet people and where all the big events of the city take place. The university of Padova is the second oldest of Italy (founded in 1222) and people from all Europe come to study here! Museums The Scrovegni Chapel: a masterpiece in the history of painting in Italy and Europe in the 14th century, is considered to be the most complete series of frescoes executed by Giotto in his mature age. There three main streets that are full of clothes, shoes, etc ? shops: -Corso Milano: here there are a lot of big shops like Benetton, Stefanel, Intimissimi, and many others. They are not too expensive, and most of people can afford them!
