OVERVIEW
Architect Mina Chow, AIA, became
fascinated with world fairs when she saw
pictures of her parents at the 1964 New
York World’s Fair. Beginning with their
stories, Chow shares this legacy and the
American values that inspired her to
become an architect.
This documentary takes a serious yet
entertaining look at why the United States’
presence was scant at the Expo 2010 in
Shanghai, China and what that absence
means to our country. An interview and
Q&A session with Chow will follow the
screening. This event was founded by Ian
Merker, AIA, AIACV film curator.
