Called the city of Damanhur in Egypt where Ahmed Zewail was born in to two loving parents and three sisters. A sign reading " Dr. Ahmed " was optimistically placed on Ahmed ' s family ' s expectations and fulfill his own dreams; Ahmed studied and learned as much as he could. During his studies, Ahmed Zewail realized that he had a special love and affinity for chemistry and physics.
His Interests:
His interests were focused- reading, music and some sports. On the first Thursday of each month they listened to the great singer Um kulthum. During all of his study years in Egypt, the music of this unique figure gave him a special happiness, and her voice was often in the background while he was studying mathematics, chemistry... etc. After three decades he still has the same feeling and passion for her music. Mathematics, mechanics and chemistry were among the fields that gave him a special satisfaction.
