The emphasis on people reflects the values that have guided Compassus throughout its first 20 years. During the anniversary celebration, the organization is highlighting Compassion, Integrity, Excellence, Teamwork and Innovation and the role each has played in shaping its culture, strengthening partnerships and improving care for patients and families. Looking ahead, Compassus focuses on expanding access to home-based care, strengthening coordination across the healthcare continuum, and finding new ways to improve the patient and family experience. Laura draws on both her professional and her family’ s experience navigating the healthcare system, and believes reducing fragmentation is one of healthcare’ s greatest opportunities.
