Matthew Owen Williams is AHERO ’ s newest ambassador . He will be running our new All In program , proudly named TheArts4AHERO . Medically retired from the United States Army , Matthew knows about the need for creativity . Art in the forms of drawing , painting , photography , pottery , and music have helped Matthew to find worth and purpose in life after the military .
Art can take on many different forms . The beauty and the style of an individual piece of art vary according to the artist . Not all art is going to be beautiful to everyone , but common knowledge insists that making art always helps the individuals who are creating it . The ability to enhance the gamut of emotional content surrounding the Veteran community is something that can be done by all Veterans who are artists . Creativity and positive energy are important in combating the negative emotions .
TheArts4AHERO is focusing on the challenge to create a space that is sacred , in which Veterans can delve into the empowering positivity of the world of art . Art deals with every aspect of the human emotional journey . Emotional content is critically important in the Veteran Community .
By uniting Veterans who are artists , TheArts4AHERO provides a platform for Veterans to engage with three key aspects of art : Appreciation , Inspiration , and Education . The Veterans who are currently making art will receive appreciation for how others view what they are doing and also the value they are adding to the community . Veterans will be inspired to try new things and to continue doing some of the things that are currently working for them . Focusing on the creative energy of art will generate a platform for Veterans to learn new techniques and try new ideas .
As we begin TheArts4AHERO program journey , let ’ s reach out and find as many Veteran artists as possible .
